Description

Description:

An experience for those who just love the Ocean. Discover a new underwater world and contribute to clean up the Atlantic Ocean.

Volunteers on this Eco-Diving project from ImpacTrip will have the opportunity to join a wide range of conservation efforts focused on the protection of the marine ecosystem in the southern coast of Portugal. Volunteers will work with a diving school, which places special emphasis on protection efforts of the local environment.

During the program, volunteers will be able to:

  • Take the internationally recognized Open Water Diver course.
  • Explore the underwater world of the Algarve by diving in several different places.
  • Learn about the Marine ecosystem and how we can protect it.
  • Work with the local community - educate the local community about environment issues, conservation and protection of biodiversity and marine resources such as food.

The volunteers will be always supervised by an experienced diver and will receive comprehensive training on the marine conservation subject. Any person can participate, from beginners (start with the Open Water Dive Certification) or more experienced divers (start with the Advanced Open Water Dive Certification). When you apply for this project, please specify whether you are Open Water Dive certified in your application form and whether you are a beginner.

Observe fish of all colors, touch weird seaweeds, explore underwater caves and discover boat wrecks and many more. You will discover wonders hidden underwater, a Portuguese treasure unknown to many but loved by those who are brave enough to take this challenge.
